Preview Project MOOCs

The PREVIEW Project aims to provide online training and internships to university students and graduates to equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in the digital age. Through e-learning activities, students will be trained in various skills, such as the use of different technologies, working in virtual teams, and adapting to new digital tools. This training will enable them to meet the challenges of distance and remote work effectively. Following the training, students will have the opportunity to engage in remote internships, where they can apply and test their skills in a remote work setting, as well as effectively interact and collaborate with colleagues who are not physically present. The project aims to promote innovative online learning and teaching practices, with the ultimate goal of fostering resilience and employability in university students.
To provide an affordable and flexible way to learn new skills and advance students career, five MOOCs have been created as part of the PREVIEW Project.

What's Happening?But what is a MOOC?

A Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is a free, web-based distance learning programme that is delivered to a large number of geographically dispersed students. While some MOOCs may be patterned on college or university courses, others could be less structured. While they may not necessarily offer academic credits, these courses frequently provide certifications, enhance employment prospects, and open doors to further studies. Typically, MOOCs are used for higher education, upskilling and career advancement.

What's Happening?How do MOOCs work?

These courses are typically accessible online and provide a way to enhance your learning through the internet. It is common for cloud computing platforms to be used for the delivery of these courses. The course content is created through a range of tools and then hosted on an LMS platform.
The university, as the provider, is often responsible for the course materials and instructors. The technological infrastructure for these courses, such as those available on EdX, Canvas, Coursera or Udacity, provides the virtual space for course modules, user access and other learning resources.
The Five PREVIEW Project MOOCs, about Service Design Methodology, Project Management, Socio-emotional Competences, Digital Competences, Soft Skills are available in five languages (english, spanish, italian, romanian, turkish) on the Preview Learning/Teaching Hub to enable platform users (e.g., students, graduates, academic staff, university tutors, and company mentors) to acquire relevant skills and competencies for effective work in the digital realm.
The MOOCs are also available in english on the Preview Project YouTube channel.
Everybody can unlock learning from anywhere in the world! All you need is an internet connection and an email—choose your favorite MOOC platform and start your journey today!

Preview Project remote internship

A remote internship is a type of internship in which the intern works for a company or organization from a location outside the company's physical office, often from home. The intern communicates with the team and completes assignments online, typically using tools such as video calls, messaging apps, and collaboration platforms to stay connected.

Advantages of Remote Internships:

  • Flexibility: You can work from anywhere in the world, if you have an internet connection, allowing you to balance work with other commitments or responsibilities.
  • Broader opportunities: Remote internships open opportunities with companies and organizations around the world, so you're not limited to just local opportunities. This can be especially advantageous if you're looking for internships in industries or locations that aren't readily available nearby.
  • Cost-effective: You'll save on commuting costs and time, which can be significant, especially if you're interning in a city far from home.
  • Work/life balance: The flexibility of working from home can improve your work-life balance, giving you more control over your schedule and your environment.
  • Skills development: Remote internships often help you build valuable skills in digital communication, self-motivation and time management - qualities that are highly sought after in today's workforce.
  • Networking: Even though you're working remotely, you'll still be able to connect with professionals around the world and expand your network across different countries and industries.
  • Exposure to remote work culture: With many companies adopting remote or hybrid models, experience in a remote internship will prepare you for the future of work. Overall, a remote internship can be an incredibly valuable way to gain real-world experience, develop essential skills, and access a wide range of opportunities - all from the comfort of your own home.

Enriching lives, opening minds

The Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Heritage (DSU) of the CNR organized an inspiring event focused on the Erasmus+ funding program "Enriching lives, opening minds".
The event provided a unique platform to explore the role of the DSU in promoting education and innovation in Europe, through shared experiences and collaborative proposals. The event took place on December 4, 2024, in Rome at the CNR Conference Hall (Via Taurini 19) and was also accessible online through the Teams platform. The program included a morning session that showcased ongoing Erasmus+ projects in which DSU institutes participated as partners or coordinators, providing valuable insights into innovative strategies for high-impact international collaborations. In the afternoon, participants engaged with DSU experts, including evaluators from INDIRE, to refine non-funded project proposals and align them with required standards, turning challenges into future opportunities.
The event aimed to share successful Erasmus+ experiences, strengthen the network of DSU institutes and improve the quality of project proposals to increase success in future applications.
