Located in the Central Anatolian Region of Turkey, in Cappadocia Region, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University (NEVU) is a state university providing tertiary education established on May 17, 2007. With its 720 academic staff who work and study on scientific basis and as of 2021, almost 20 thousand students, NEVU is rapidly becoming a prominent university with its physical and social provisions. Considering the importance of globalization among the rising values of today, NEVU constantly develops international cooperation with universities, educational organizations abroad and follows the developments in the world. Besides ensuring mutual exchange of teachers and students, NEVU is a university with the "Diploma Supplement" and "ECTS" label and ECHE holder Higher Education Institution since 2010. Recently received the “Erasmus Charter For Higher Education 2021-2027” quality certificate delivered by the European Commission.
NEVU carries out its scientific activities in 7 different campuses with 9 faculties, 9 vocational colleges, 2 colleges, 4 institutes and 16 research and application centers University has an Erasmus agreement under KA131 and 171 Programmes with 75 universities. It also has agreements with universities in Korea, China, Brazil, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Algeria, Iran, Pakistan, Ukraine and Tajikistan under the scope of Mevlana Exchange Program. NEVU is a new member of EUA https://eua.eu/news/774:euawelcomes-19-new-members.html and besides KA2 projects it manages Erasmus+ agreements under KA131 and 171 Programme with 75 universities.
Through ERASMUS+ 2014-2002 period and the future 2021-2027, NEVU aimed/aims to increase the quality of its educational activities, to develop and reinforce their networks of partners, to increase its capacity to operate jointly at transnational level, boosting internationalization in all activities and through exchanging or developing new practices and methods as well as sharing andconfronting ideas. NEVU is experienced in development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative practices as well as the implementation of joint initiatives promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchanges of experience at European level.
